Adwords is the king of PPC. I would say go with adwords if you want to get the real deal.

This question depends from individual to individual, if you want great traffic then no one can challenge adwords, cpc is low in bing and so is the traffic, I would prefer adwords any day, but one has to be master adwords before starting else it can burn your money like anything, but if you know adwords no one can stop you minting money for sure.

I'd start with Bing & FB ads, remember that if you pay for crap, you'll get crap. You're pretty safe to assume your traffic quality is on point with the big guys.

I would suggest learning with Bing, then upgrading to Adwords.

Unfortunately learning PPC advertising can be extremely costly.

There are several parts to PPC advertising. You need to find the right product, for the right targeted audience and then have a landing page which converts.

My suggestion is if you have never done PPC advertising to approach it this way:

    1. Find a product and create several landing pages (4-5 different landing pages at least)
    2. Setup your data collection -> Data is the MOST important thing. Read up on this as its the most important.
    3. Post your links to your landing pages on facebook, twitter, etc so that you can start to collect some data.
    4. Once you have at least several thousand hits to your landing pages work out the conversion rates and then go check your costs for your keywords/audience/niche in facebook/bing advertising networks (or elsewhere). If you have a landing page converting at 5% then you convert 5 people out of every 100 which you get to the landing page. If the cost of the keyword is $0.10 then 100 people will cost $10. If 5 sales makes more than $10 in commission then you will be in front and should test that keyword/niche/audience. Use the data to work out the target markets cost per click and whether or not you will make a profit. I would suggest you need to be making at least 50% profit before testing. For example if you make $12 from 5 sales then $12/$10 = 20% profit. You would want to be making at least $15 and preferable $20 from commission for your $10 in advertising cost.

This is the slow way to do it for someone who doesn't have money to waste on collecting that information quickly through a wide PPC campaign. The fast way is to just blast 3-10 times the profit you receive in commissions across a wide audience and then quickly focus on those which are profitable. This can result in lots of lost money and is a scatter gun approach where the big wins pay for the many small losses.
