Which Platform for Eccomerce + Affiliate Program?

Hi everyone,

I'm helping someone build a ecommerce website, and I'm trying to figure out which cms/platform to go with? It must have this type of feature:

- ability to charge affiliates monthly to sell products (i.e. like Empowered Network).

I was thinking of going with Magento, as it's a good platform for ecommerce, and there's a good affiliate extension, but it doesn't allow me to charge affiliates monthly.

I'm looking at Wordpress now, but I'm not sure if it's good for ecommerce? Maybe a woocommerce + s2member option to sell products, and charge affiliates?

Anyone can put me on the right path? Been thinking about this for a couple of days, but don't know which way to go?

Well I'm a Wordpress guy so I use WooCommerce, no complaints here and would recommend to anyone. The affiliate plugin I use is 'Affiliate WP' -does the job, although its a paid plugin.

Not sure what you mean by 'charging affiliates'

Meaning they have to pay a monthly fee if they want to promote and sell the products.
