Hey

i heard about wordpress CMS is not ideal for e commerce site? do you suggest any other platform or wordpress is good enough?

I used to always run oscommerce then switched to zencart

Magento is powerful but very complex, I almost used it but found zencart to be better for my needs

+1 on magneto, I used to manage a site that used ajax and dynamically loading content/products and Magneto handled everything we threw at it. It certainly has a learning curve if you are new to it, because there is a ton of functionality. But in the end it is a premium e-commerce solution and their support is awesome if you happen to run into hiccups.

Currently using opencart
or you can use magento as well

Magento seems to be the most common platform, but it's all about personal preference in my opinion.

why so much people hate woocommerce?

Small - Medium business -> WordPress + WooCommerce
Big Business -> Magento

Or shopify/bigcommerce.

Magento is the way to go, however it can be a bit hard to set up for some people.

magento comm version, but it has some learning curve plus its too heavy compared with others. If you are good in dev, you can easily reduce the loading speed to 1 or 2 sec. If you are new, then i would suggest prestashop. Its free and perfect for newbies.

woocommerce is ok with wordpress but the free version isn't very powerful.

Nobody has mentioned opencart yet, I use that and it's very good and free.

Definitely Magento once you understand it you fall in love with it, you can literally do anything you can think of and more.

Magento is a good platform but it needs a good hosting to go with it. Wouldn't advise running it on shared hosting! As others have said, it can also be tricky if you're new to coding. I was never good enough with Magento to get a big store to load quickly. I like Woocommerce - it's pretty easy to setup and I find Wordpress admin a lot less hassle than Magento.

Woocommerce is my favorite ecommerce platform. it's wordpress and flexible with lots of plugins and themes options available.

100% Wordpress if you are new in this business

magento can be expensive, the plugins are great but too expensive and you'll need an expert if you don't know what you're doing. IMHO if you're going for a small business woocommerce is the way to go, if you're willing to invest big Cash = magento is you solution!
