I decided to push my Dell XPS M1530 laptop with 4GB RAM, Core2duo 2.5GHZ processor to it's limits... So I installed 64bit windows 7... And I didn't see any unresponsiveness from my laptop since when I installed it.. Dells Happy Customer lol

I decided on installing windows 7 on the ssd,not ubuntu
EDIT: I just finished installing windows 7 and it is super fast compared to when I was using a HD,if you can buy a ssd,get one and it will make your computer much faster.

I use Windows xp 32 bit. I've tried multiple times to move on to Windows 7 -- i just hate it too much

Win XP on Testing computer and on 1 laptop, Win 7 64 on Main Desktop and 2nd laptop.

Im thinking of installing unix on my main laptop with dual boot, curious what everyones thoughts on it are, and if it makes a difference??

Which version would you go with Ubuntu/kubuntu/etc

Hey Bornformoney whats PHLAK (Professional Hackers Linux Assault Kit with Custom coded kernel) like, is it better than the other versions or is it for a certain purpose only??

I started with Macs and I do think they are great machines but to me they are like a bicycle with training wheels. Once you learn how to build your own computer, and keep your computer in tip top shape Windows is much better choice IMO.

Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit for me.

One thing for sure about Windows is that Vista was horrible!
