It's a marketing stunt to boost the registrations of .club domains. All staged, lots of companies adopt this strategy nowadays to create virality.
looking at the backlink profile I can't understand how that domain has that price tag hahaha.....
This also looks like a marketing stunt to me.. Credit is a good word and all, but there are actually Wine clubs out there - not Credit clubs, lol.
"What? No way!? If this happened once, it'll happen again, and this time I'll be there to buy all of the club domain names"! ~ Captain Credulous.
How could it possibly have a value of $15,000 if no one has ever paid that much for the domain name? A domain is only worth as much as someone is willing to pay and in that case it was $10.99
lol sure fire way to grab some free publicity is to fake some bullshit cock up
When was the last time anyone ever clicked on a .club website?
I have never google'd, searched, been linked to or typed in a .club domain.
Going by my experience with .clubs, I would say its worthless......Who the hells going to click on credit.club.....No one will when perfectly good .com domains are within clicking distance.
I do think that the new set of gTLD's will eventually pick up steam and be pretty ubiquitous on the web. I've spoken with a lot of people who have a good amount of interest in adapting these TLD's to suit their niche. I'd give it about 3-5 years before they're commonplace.
