Link-Building in authority sites like Guest post, PBN, Niche edits are the most effective methods to get rank and traffics. It's like heart and brain Without these back-links are nothing.
 
In my opinion, both Off-Page SEO and On-Page SEO are important for every website. And we all know backlinks are very important to rank your website in search engines so, Off-Page SEO will be more effective.

Find Sites related to your niche and try to publish your link there with information that somehow relates to your website. Thats the best way.

The most effective would be a PBN (one in which you rent monthly so you can control what links go on it and stay up)

the 2nd/3rd one would likely be guest posts and then niche edits.

Then link diversification, etc.

I also laugh.

From this thread I take it that we should avoid the "not quite high enough quality" or "just sub-premium" type links.

How you acquire links is not important. Google doesn't look at a link and say to itself "that's a guest post so I'll give it slightly more credit than I would do if it were a niche edit".

What you want are links from topically relevant pages on other sites, and preferably ones that have links pointing to them from other topically relevant pages on other websites. Whether you buy a link on a PBN, a guest post, a niche edit or a "Supercharged Lady Gaga Goes on Holiday with Spiderman to the Maldives" type link doesn't matter. The reason why other types of links such as profile links or forum posts aren't generally mentioned on this thread is because they either aren't that topically relevant or they don't have links pointing to them from other topically relevant websites.
