Which Niche Would Work Better In Your Opinion?

Hi everyone! So I’m thinking about starting a Blog to eventually grow enough to start putting ADs to make some money. I’ve looked a very good amount into it and considering I like writing it would be perfect for me. I’ve noticed that a lot of people say to focus on one type of Niche especially one you have some knowledge in. I’ve come to think of two so far. A Gaming Related Blog or Political Blog. Which one do you think would be easier to grow?

Political. People are passionate about it. They will keep coming back to insult their opponent more more for you:D
 
Go for Gaming, but remember, competition is high! You will need to pick up some smaller micro niche inside gaming, for example, PlayStation gaming only :)

Between gaming and political blog, I think a political blog will fly well. I did it briefly and it worked well but I messed things up.

But all niches will go well long as it's tier 1 targeted. Go for a niche people from tier countries are very interested in.
 
Neither will ever be passive. Both will require a lot of work and updates to keep up with new developments. These are news niches unless you can find a more educational angle for them. I wouldn't recommend either if you want to eventually have a somewhat passive income.
 
Political / news /opinion website will work great. You missed the opportunity in recently held US elections.
 
Only Choose gaming if you are a gamer otherwise you will be writing and posting about something which you know nothing about. I used to write for a blog owner and he was getting traffic but he didn't know what he was losing when he asked me to stop writing for him. He was getting amazing specific niche traffic that I brought for him from specific articles specially crafted for those games that I used to play at that time.

Similarly with political if you have interest in Politics, do it and understand what various opinions are about then write. make headlines that you think can catch up more people towards your blog other than writing white lines that every one writes.

The one you can get traffic for... This question is extremely vague at best.
 
I'd advise to lean more to the niche you are more passionate about and have more knowledge. Anyways it's just 2 niches, so you may actually start with both if you are interested in them equally and just see how it goes with each. Experience what best works for you.
