Which membership site script to use?

Hey!

One of my partners is planning to build a membership site but he is still not sure which membership script to use. I was using butterflymarketingscript two years ago but I don't know if there are any new fancy scripts on the market.

The main purpose of this membership site is to give the members an access to a 'VIP area' where they found some online courses in form of a collection of articles, videos, downloads, etc.

The script should come with an own affiliate program.

Something like a membership wordpress plugin would be fine but I am curious if there are any high class wp membership plugins because those I have found looked a bit crappy to me.

For wordpress wp-eMember is the best IMHO. It goes hand in hand with their Affiliate Platform plugin too and both are shared here in the downloads section somewhere. Check out the demo on their site to see what it's like.

If you want to go standalone then aMember is supposed to be pretty solid but comes with a $180 price tag. There is a 30 day free trial though so you could play around with both and see what's best for your needs.
 
PHPFox has those features & more. You would have to buy an affiliate plugin though.

WP-eMember has no CB payment support right now, which I saw you wanted in your other thread. There is talk on their forums about it from this week though, apparently there just wasn't much of a demand for it before and that's the only reason it isn't implemented yet.
 
S2member is really good, I am currently using it for my membership site, it's really easy to use and powerful.
 
I use easymember pro...The price is reasonable (last time I check it was like $97 for unlimited sites) and it has a lot of nice features.

try Joomla for this
 
Would highly recommend Easy Member Pro. I use it all the time, great features and easy to use. Templates can be a pain if you custom design them like me, but no worse than the butterfly script which I use as well.

In fact the butterfly script will do the job for you. I prefer EMP because of the ability to drip feed content, more secure and the affiliate program features.

You can mess around with heaps of different scripts, but all have a learning curve and can become tiresome and time wasting. If you know BF script it may be your best bet.

Overall for the type of membership site I would difinately look at EMP.
 
I recommend you to use AMEMBER...It is very much powerful...
I have it....
Please tell me is it allowed to upload it on BHW...so that i can provide everyone with AMEMBER on BHW....

I Think a nulled version is already in the download section
 
A lot of the previous suggestions are good, but I'll give you another one that I've used. It is called WP MemberChamp.
