Which looks better: .org or .net?

This speaks by itself

.org is the way to go for me. If I cannot pick a .com I cannot care any more than price (bu t be aware, that I bulk many domains, if you are going to have just 1, whatever it looks better for you, .net has been historically extremely spammy and is not a well referenced extension despite it's theorically considered the "2nd extenion" after .com.
Personally I hate .net.

From what I can see, most people recommend me to use the .NET extension. I'm still unsure because I think .ORG was a better fit for the final site.

I didn't even know that was a thing. Thanks for that, any services you suggest?
There's lots of them , domain wheel, domain mash ,one from shopify, instant domain search.
Just google it.

I own the .ORG and the .NET of an exact match domain. Unfortunately the .COM was taken, however it is not in use. So I plan to make one of them my main domain and simply redirect the other to it.

Do you think I should use the .ORG or the .NET tld as the primary domain? SEO wise, I realize it doesn't make a difference, so I don't need that advice. I'm just wondering which looks better.
.org sound like organization and .net is sound like innovation

.net looks better than .org imo
.org just looks naked/incomplete to me just like .co

.net.
just because org feel like non profit organization site lol

.net looks better.

But .com and .net is managed by Verisign which is a US Company, for privacy and security reason .org is better than .com and .net
I agree that .com and .net looks much better. But for the reasons I told you .org is a good choice for privacy, security you want that.

If you business is legal and normal go with .net without doubt. ;)

net is better

It's hard today to find a short english spoken rhythm domain name.
When you ar enot sure using net or org domain, use both each has different content on it, like Alina Habba with her three domains all with her name in .com, net and .org

Now I trying the renderforest name generator but it's useless it spills out name sand logos who are taken, make no sense.
And when I try with chatgpt with the prompt: pleease create short 6 letter domain names, unique, rhythm of the phrase: (25 letter phrase), I not have much luck, chatgpt creates names who not make any sense and most of them are taken on com domain and on social media.

Do you know better prompts ?
Rough times....

What kind of website it is? If it's a portfolio website, or a website where I would sell products and services, I would chose .net. If it's an affiliate website, with science content (for example), I would pick the .org.
Why an .org domain for a n affiliate site ?

I suppose, back in the time, I would personally considerated more an .org than an .net, for the lab/sci niche. Since in the last 12mo+, the environment changed, I would change my opinion, cause there is always room for innovation.

My friend you speak like a mysterious fortune teller.... ?

Today now I type in google: free short 4 letter length domain name generator, it spits out a lot of name generators but none of theme where you can set the name length.
It's horrible these generators are creating long and longer names not shorter like this:

your name Jack Smith;

jacksmithonline
jacksmithclub
jacksmithdigital
jacksmithhub

you get the idea they make your name long and longer.
It would be nice to have an ai who can create short 4-5 letter names, bing copilot, gemini and chatgpt and not really helpful to create unique modern short domain names , all what I get is longer names and these ai do not check if the name ideas are available with a com domain.

Happy Weekend !

Hello, Mister Frog. I prefer net because it looks more formal and makes me feel more official.

If I would have to pick, I would go for .net just because it's the next best thing. .org is more corporate oriented rather than a blog/website

I don't have a preference between .net and .org. Although .com is always going to be the best bet.

It looks like Google likes it to rank net and org domains. My fresh net domain with short branding name was indexed within 5 days and at this time the website was not finish built....
