Which links work best

Wondering which links on Amazon affiliate sites work best ? In text links or picture/button links or buy now buttons?

I've just had a pre made Amazon affiliate site done. The site uses an image of the product with a learn more button under it . It actually comes as one picture the product\button so pressing anywhere will take them to amazon. What's a pain is id have to create this 2 in 1 image for every new product . Photoshop the learn more image onto the product image producing
A CTA zone
I'm not convinced this is the way to go esp if in text links are known to be more effective and less selly\spammy ? Anyone have experience of which type of links perform better ?

Just build regular contextual links. best links? editorial ones but hard to acquire and also expensive at scale. Best way is building all kinds of links. Remember to diversify, its key to success by looking authoritative and natural. Don't over optimize in both on and off page seo. Make sure your anchor text is diversified as well. Good luck. :)

Wrong! Test it out bro. If you cannot afford it, then do what you can afford right now...

Not sure what learn more means. I guess what you're looking for is which links are the most effective. The trues is, all kind of links help (as long as you don't spam or make low quality automated links) please, feel free to ask, i don't mind :)

Edit: I get it now, my bad. well, what you are referring to is image links with learn more as anchor text. well, this is still a text link. image links are clickable images (you click on it and go to site) link is embedded in it.

As mentioned, you should diversify (use all platforms) web 2.0 image platforms video platforms guest posts pbn...ETC) social signals help rank you as well. (likes pins shares..ETC)

Yea there seems to be many school of thought . I think I’ll go with in text links rather than a photo with a big fat learn more button . On this one anyway when I’m done with this I’ll try photos with embedded code on the next site and one with both and see what performs the best if no one clicks on the site with in text links .

Your not feeling yourself I understand . I don’t expect to make monkeys for a day or two as the site has just gone live . Not sure what I’ll do with these monkeys after a make them tho . A definitive answer would help ..

Keep at it and never give up. Remember, quality not quantity in both content and links for long term sustainable growth. In time, you will have both quality and quantity. Good Luck. :)

Actually, these things are closely guarded secrets; atleast from my side. M not gonna give u my stuffs, ever; not even for monkeys. That is up to you to figure out. Yes, if you need technical help... Feel free to tag me in a post; or pm me.... As for "what converts the most?" stuff.. figure it out bro...
 
Just saw a new thread titled this 2yr old affiliate site ...@mike9587 spot on.... a mix of links plus great content I was on the right track but needed to add in text links also here n there
 
Honestly, I'd say youre better off keeping a low product count per page and using both - only because a large percentage of end users will, by default, click on the picture as they've grown accustomed to associating that action to being taken to the product page - while still accommodating those who are more drawn to a text link (in the description/editorial)... I say keep as low product count per page to ensure that in doing the above, you're not purging excessive link juice in the process

Yea il go with 1 photo link and 1 in text link per product and silo links to other relevant aspects of the sites with 10 products review per page which will allow for 6k articles to be produced. A good content template

Let me make sure I understood you -

10 Products, with 10 Full article descriptions and 10 photos per page, with 20 outgoing links per page?

That's a recipe for long page loads, excessively long pages, fewer page views, and less visibility of the products on the bottom of the pages - and lower average visits...not to mention that unless you've got a good 20 (or close to) backlinks linking in to each page, you're also purging link juice like crazy - you want to (ideally) keep your outboud links close to or equal to your incoming links and internal site page links...

Alternatively, you'd end up with really thin, ineffective product descriptions which would (if less than 500 words or so for 2 backlinks) come across as "over-optimized" and therefore negative for SEO... plus a longer than average load time, fewer page views, higher bounce rates, lower visibility and conversions - all of the above problems...

You want to ideally have each product's full description have it's own page - maximize the page views and be detailed in the descriptions - that will maximize all the positive aspects....

So you want: Home Page (about, contact, privacy policy) > Categories > Product Listings > Product Page

I'm basing this on some of the industry leaders who put a 3 product table followed by 10 product reviews. So that's 400-600words per review 4k in total plus product guides. I know of a few sites exactly to this recipe doing 500k a month in traffic and load times of 0.9 seconds that's with 13 pics per page. Interlinking may be 1-2 per page to relevant categories nothing over the top really jyst good silo
 
ok....I still say that would be a LOT of scrolling and you'd better have good hosting or it'll be slow AF lol not to mention you're missing out on page views and pages per visit (which are thought to help rankings) but ok.. 10 loosely related products on one page just sounds kinda tacky tbh

Have a look at the thread 2 year old site.. It names one of the sites I'm basing this on. They last month had 467k page hits generating xyz amount per month a 1 million word site. How many of those words have never been read who knows but regardless its a 2 year old site making a shit load with 10 product rvs per page 13 pics and interlinking o silo :) and the products will be closely related I'm not just grabbing random products to fill content
