Which laptop you recommend for work?

Mackbook air and PRO series.

I've moved to thinkpad recently and couldn't be happier. Luckily bought one before RAM prices sky rocketed.

bought like 3 laptops this year; all of them shit. I need a laptop who can handle 10-12 chrome tabs at a time
please suggest only from ur experience
What's your budget? and what kind of work are you doing?

If you don't require strong GPU usage i'd focus on linux or mac OS.

Good SSD space + lot of RAM.

I don't have a mac but from what i heard from people i know the mac ram is super optimized that you can get a lot of ram actual usage with low mac ram.

I have a mid budget laptop that works fine and can handle the loads of multiple chrome tabs, it's HP pavillion 15 with i7 11thh gen, 16 GB RAM that works perfectly for my work and handles chrome well

Macbook air
best combination of performance and mobility

PC with a double monitor.

Trust me, once you get used to this. You will never want to work in a laptop

Use a laptop with plenty of RAM, around 32GB, and that should be enough for you.

In my opinion you should use a Lenovo ThinkPad with a Core i5 6th generation processor. It can smoothly handle 10 Chrome profiles at a time. I am personally running 8 profiles myself.

Macbook Air M5 16GB 512SSD last time I checked here it goes for 1.2K USD

Currently using a pro m4 24GB and to me it's an overkill unless you have really complex flows

Get anything with 16GB RAM minimum, that's your bottleneck with Chrome. Intel i5 12th gen or AMD Ryzen 5 7000 series handles it fine, no need to overspend on i7.
Lenovo IdeaPad 5 or ThinkBook 14 are solid for the price, reliable and don't thermal throttle after 20 minutes like a lot of budget laptops do. Asus VivoBook 15 also works if you catch it on sale.
Avoid anything with 8GB RAM soldered in, you can't upgrade it later and Chrome will eat it alive.

MacOs manages memory far better than windows and the new m5 chip handle multiple tabs silently without fans

Even an entry level thinkpad can handle 10-12 tabs. If you have the budget get a higher end model or any E series model with 16gb ram is enough.

Stay away from windows, Mac is the best purchase I ever made in 25 years of programming. Smooth and high performance. If budget is a problem go with a normal Mac, I’m on a Mac Pro
