Hi,

I wanted to purchase a new laptop for internet marketing purpose..So advice me a proper laptop. I was using HP but now its too old and weak to handle the load..

My requirements...

  • Must be able to handle 300 to 400 tabs in Chrome at a time without crashing(My laptop crashes at 200 and also causes shockwave problem and hang)
  • Must have good enough harddisk space
  • Must be able to "Open" tools like GSA, Magic Submitter, Scrapebox(Ofcourse not all together but it shud be able to handle without crashing. I already have a VPS to run them so I might need to open them on my lappy for small tasks
  • Should have a strong keyboard and must be able to handle thousands of keystrokes per day
  • Laptop will be used for like 15 hours per day. So it should not burn
  • Most importantly the battery should be awesome..I am sick of my laptops 1 hour battery..
So kindly advice a good laptop with proper configuration:) and dont advice me Desktop as I need portability

edit: Budget is 1.5k

Why not get a VPS or a dedicated server instead?

Regarding your laptops, you gotta mention your budget as well and based on that I can help you out build a config.

That does look like a lot of requirements so you will definitely need a powerful laptop.

Personally, I don't know - but Il be watching a close eye on this thread to see what others can come up with.

Id say go for a custom made laptop or something like that?

I already have VPS for seo tools but thats laggy because of my sucky internet connection. And I cant open 300 tabs on my VPS due to that...
Budget is 1.5k but u can advice me a good one. I can adjust my budget accordingly

What HP laptop were you using? If we know the specs it has like which cpu and ram info,we would be able to know what kind of laptop would be good for your budget.

why dont you go for a multi-screen desktop - you'll have more room to open your 200 tabs:-p n it'll be cheaper than a lappy

You want to run GSA, Magic Submitter, and ScrapeBox on a "sucky" connection? Doesn't matter how badass your laptop is, that's gonna be your bottleneck. You should run those tools on a VPS (even if it takes a few minutes to get them configured due to lag) for the best results from those tools.

Hmm but i need portability. I get bored to sit on 1 place. I will consider multi screen desktop later

Toshiba laptops are horrible, they overheat like crazy and their battery life gets depleted fast.
Yea..Toshiba name itself sounds like a Toaster to me. I would avoid that brand

I already have a VPS to run those tools. But ofcourse for some small tasks i need to atleast open them right..

Well the Ratings that I have read have ASUS ahead of Samsung with ASUS having the latest model

those are $1500-$1700 with i7 SSD and 6 Ram I think

you obviously are going to need Max Ram with so many things open so go check out what the best
option would be for you there I think.

the i5 models are like $1200 with less SSD space.. and less ram.

sorry can't help more but I am not a hardware guru.

I think 8GB of DDR3 and a 3rd generation i5 will be enough to do what you need to do.

Why would you need 400 tabs open? :o The time it would take to navigate from one another is bigger that the time to reopen one. Don't you use bookmarks?

You sound just like me for your laptop requirements.

Best bang for your buck (and quality) is the laptop that I purchased just a few months ago: ASUS G75VW-AS71

16gb ram
i7 - 3610qm
750gb HDD
2GB Nvidia Geforce GTX 660m

Sending you a PM as well.

Some work which needs editing one after another. It doesnt take time at all. I bookmark them and some I import. Only thing is my chrome browser crashes with 300 tabs+movie or song..I know I am kinda raping the laptop :)
