Which knowledge is better to have for you between programming and Web and Content Marketing?

Programming should definitely be secondary. The majority of internet marketers I know, do not know any programming. You can live without it.

On the other hand, it's essential you have a solid content marketing strategy for your online business.

Good luck!

Programming language. It's skill that is in demand and there's a huge shortage of them in the United States. If you have good programming knowledge you can get paid a significant amount of money by developing apps/software for other people. Especially, within the IM world.

Who do you think is making the big bucks? Ahrefs. Moz. People who created scrapebox, gsa ser, dragon, etc. All the SEO tools that people are using are created by programmers. And, they're raking the big bucks because of this.

Much better to have programming knowledge. Lot of opportunities that way.

I'm a programmer and you don't need any knowledge of programming to do IM. There's ways around almost every technical problem. But with that said: In my honest opinion there are things that programmers can do that will never possible to a standard marketer and just by knowing what kinds of problems can be solved and how to solve them helps in building much more efficient business systems. To a large extent: software development helps you cut through the cruft in the IM world.

This guy has no idea what he is talking about. Would you rather build someone else's dreams or your own? Would you rather build an application or program for someone else? Or would you rather have someone build you one and own the company? I would much rather be the king on the chessboard and not a pawn.

Web and Content Marketing of course, we are talking about internet MARKETING after all...

Web and Content marketing. Believe it or not you won't need any skill of Programing. Just be a boss of Web and content marketing

Wider and deeper knowledge about IM is better than Programming Knowledge. A broad range of experience is always desirable and that's what many people make use of

Back in the day, I could program, just shit though. These days I have no need. I can edit a few WordPress sites and dodgy code, it helps. I think what helps most in IM is having the mindset for it. To me it is not a particular skill, it is a way of thinking. It is a bit hard to explain.

The more you know the better.
Prioritize IM over programming though.
85% (IM) - 15% (Programming) would be ideal.

The way it works is 50/50, but you must perfectly know everything around the particular method/strategy/etc. before you automate it. This is where the programming knowledge comes. I automate almost all of the things i do and i always prefer true automation rather than hiring VAs. In most cases it's cheaper for me that way.

Basic knowledge for website like domain name/server(upload file/cpanel)/CMS(wordpress).

Creativity & project manager style of thinking.

The rest just hire the freelance. Like programming, designing, and marketing.

This is internet marketing so learn Marketing first. How to drive traffic, how to sell.

But in my free time, i do take programming lessons, but i do it the same way why I learned guitar or photography.Because it's cool.
