Which is the difference between buying backlinks or a link indexing service?

Hello, I can't find my answer searching BHW.

Doesn't a link indexing service buy backlinks to index what people ask them? Doesn't it imply that they the same thing?

If my goal is to index a parasite post/page/PDF, should I buy more backlinks pointing to it or going through a link indexing services?

Indexing services use a variety of methods to get links indexed. Sure some of them involve backlinks (usually on Google News-enabled or highly spidered sites), but those backlinks are usually only active temporarily.

Using a link indexing service to first index the links on Google and then buying backlinks from different service to rank them could be a good strategy?
