FB and Google Ads both work perfectly, but it really depends on your product, niche, targets, budget etc. Could you share more?

Google Ads :) for sure ;)
Fb ads will also do, but I'd recommend you to go with Google Ads

Fb ads are perfect for impulse buying: clothes, sales, offers too good to refuse. Google adwords, especially search,is very good for people that have looking specific products. Google adwords - display-, acts like fb, but the demographic targeting is muuuch lower than facebook. On fb you can target in an infinite combinations, based on demographic profile, declared and real interests:)

there are a lot to talk about this subject.

Both are very good, but they are both suited for fairly different situations.

Facebook Ads are often used to either build a name of a brand or for spontaneous buying of products like games, date sites, clothes, gadgets, etc. At the same time on Facebook your targetting can be way more specific, since you are able to choose the hobbies, demographics, interests, etc. of the person you will target.

Meanwhile with Google Ads you are targetting someone who is looking for a specific product already and you are trying to impress him the most and make him click on your ad.

Both work with differently, I would advise just testing it out and comparing the results to know what works the best for you :)

I'm more of a FB type of person so FB gets my vote.

Also, their cpc's are alot more cheaper than google's.

    Hey guys,
I just boosted a post on my Facebook page and the results are weird (to me).

The boost was a link to a blog post on the related website - a post which has an embedded Youtube video as its main content.

So I was able to track the results on the whole chain, if you see what I mean (FB > website > youtube).

(By the way, it's all free information that will be useful to anyone in the niche. Not the best content ever, but not garbage.
Actually I'm being modest. The site is the best thing someone in the niche could possibly find!)

The Facebook boost reached 3,000 people and the post got 85 likes more than a normal post. Great. A couple liked the group itself.
The blog post was read by an extra 20 people maybe? Maybe not even that.
The video was watched by, at most, one person.

So as I understand it, 3,000 people saw my post in their Facebook feed. 'Oh how shiny!' said 85 of them, who clicked on it.
But no-one read the post and no-one watched the video. (What kind of person does that?!)

I don't really want to buy likes, I want people to engage with the content.
    Am I doing this wrong?

I vote for Google AdWords since it increases your website visibility on Google. Good stuff.

In my consideration the facebook is better as compared to the google ads, and sometimes the best, It is because the facebook is used by billions of people rather than google ads so you can advertise their more then in google ads.

    Good Luck!

Facebook changed there algo a few months ago so now that boosting reaches less people, not worth it at all imo, there should be the option to only have an ad on cpc model and to have it go to an external website.

FB is better because you can laser target your audience to get highest possible conversion ;)
