I use Zone Alarm Security Suite. (firewall, spam-guard, anti-spyware and anti-virus). I prefer it to others like Norton because you set it up and it doesn't bother you or your software from that point. It notifies you of problems and how to fix them but doesn't attempt to take over the whole machine or operating system like Norton.
I understand you can find torrent files to "crack" the Zone Alarm trial versions to set up your own update-able fully functioning version with a 140 year license as well.

BitDefender IS .... as a user of BitD products for 4 years , since ver 7 , I can atest to its functionality. I have spent years playing in the "dark underbelly" of the interwebs ...LOL....and I have never had a virus I didnt set off on myself ...lol...mistakes ... If your gonna spend money on it , It's deff worth it . Check their site they run specials all the time. Keep it clean

i used to like the older version of McAfee until my pc crashed and reformatted, then i get Norton from my pc guy. Don't quite like tho it's popular. Recently, testing Kaspersky, bitDefender & NOD32 after reading review from this website http://anti-virus-software-review.toptenreviews.com/
...i have kaspersky running now...surprising, it managed to detect virus from thumbdrive which my norton can't...so far happy with kaspersky! will give NOD32 a try, i heard many good comments too!

Panda is itself a virus .. never try any beta version ..
