Which is the best Antivirus?

Anyone who says anything else besides NOD32 has not tried it yet. It has the lowest CPU usage, detects nearly every threat (even files incoming through your network card) and runs perfectly in silent mode unlike many other programs.

Yeah, go with NOD32 if you want good real-time antivirus protection. It offers the best balance of security and use of PC resources (it's not a memory hog). I think Kaspersky is the best scanner out there, but it just slows my PC and Internet down way too much for the payoff to be worth it. The 1% loss in security (if that) that comes from using NOD32 is negligible, and it will keep your PC light on its toes.
If real-time scanning isn't a worry for you, and you'd rather just scan for viruses manually, then check out BitDefender's Free version. It's an excellent on-demand scanner that updates every hour on the hour. It also makes for an excellent addition to other antivirus scanners as well, as it doesn't offer real-time protection that can interfere with other antivirus programs.
BitDefender is often ranked in the top 3-5 in antivirus software reviews

How is it on resource usage? Does it slow your computer down, noticeably?I use the Zone Alarm Security suite. Not only does it have the Zone Alarm firewall, but from there it uses the Kaspersky ati-virus engine which usually rates #1 in testing.

Hey Guys,
we must have tried sooo many. Norton was on our servers and client computers to start with but we had heaps of compatability problems that we finally took it off. Trend PCillen was tried on our client computers but it let too many through. We now have Kaspersky on all client computers and it is excellent. Updates almost every hour when it is on auto. The spam functions alone make it a godsend. We have Trend for servers, on the server and it is way above the Trend PCillen. No problems at all.Having said all that are tech boys use AVG and are happy to stay with it on all their stuff.
