Forums for sure. Sometimes when I don't have to do much at work I spend all day browsing through forums/reddit/blogs just learning more and more about programming.
Used to play games 24/7 but grew out of it, it's just zero fun anymore and also when I come home after work I pretty much clean my apartment, make food for the next day and then go to bed so there's no time haha. Even if I have time I want to work on projects, spending an hour gaming is also just not enough for anything imo.
You learn one or two things with just a few brain cells when browsing forum threads. You earn dopamine surge and mental masturbation with video games, a temporary way to escape from reality.
Are video games really worth all the dopamine surge? Gonna waste your life on that when you'r grown up? I suppose NO.
I think games and forums are two different forms of leisure. Games will focus more on entertainment, while forums will focus more on learning and communication. Of course, you can also have fun in the forum.
