Which is heavier, 1000 pounds of gold or 1000 pounds of feathers?

    Just for fun purposes. :D

    Highlight for answer!

Answer: [Depending on how you think, you may get another answer.]

    I answered Gold.

You may think it is wrong.

    That is fine with me.

Well I just changed the answer.

    Logically speaking, they're the same.

    Theoretically, they may not. ;)

Logically they are not the same. Weights of gold and precious metals are measured differently than the weight of most other things. Gold is measured in troy ounces, where 1 troy pound = 12 ounces whereas a standard pound = 16 ounces, so a pound of gold weighs less than a pound of feathers.

Isn't this question usually 1 ton of rocks and 1 ton of feathers?
