    Morning!

I know the "real " answer is to test it, but I wanted to draw on your experience first.

I am going to offer a freebie, but which is better - a 90 page (short pages) ebook or 90 day course?

Any experience or suggestions are welcome.

    Thanks in advance.

It is because we have multiple bites at the apple?
We get to hit them 90 days in a row?

How do you think it would differ in terms of building the list. I mean, if 90 days is better for a sale ( high conversion rate) which abetter in getting them to leave their email?

If you send them daily, for the coming 90 days a few pages (PDF or something) with useful/quality information then they will give their email, who wouldn't?

Very true, but let me me clearer.

You have suggested that 90 days is better than ebook. Got it. Higher conversion rates i.e. getting people to buy stuff from me as a result of the mailings.

However, which would result in more signups to the list to start with- ebook or the 90 course?

I need to balance them both. I know, I know - Test them both :)

Ebook will do good. Don't expect many people to be active for 90 days just to take the course. Start with E-Book so that every one can know what it is all about.

A short course would be better. Maybe 30 days, nobody will stay with your courses 90 days, this is too much.

Hmmn, what about split-testing it to see which one will yield better results?
What's your niche? Maybe I can help.

I would go with a 90 day course because you can explain and answer the questions of the customer!

I agree with most of other comments in the thread, course is better, but duration is problematic. I think course time frame shouldn't be longer than 30-35 days.

    This is good feedback.
I agree that 90 days is too long, 30 is better or even 27 days. "Change your life in less than a month!"

Or even shorter 14 days perhaps. This way be can get to punchline faster and we could bulk up the days by combining the days. So that now each day's course is 3-4X's as long. Length is a signal for value.

Yes, split testing the length would be a good idea.

Could tell you the niche, but then I would have to . . . .:)

    Is that Content Company yours?

I would go with the e-book. There are very few places I (personally) would want emails for 90 days let alone 30. My inbox is busy enough that I wouldn't opt to make it busier unless I thought this content was going to change my life. And I've been disappointed many times on these kinds of things which gives me a worse opinion of the company that "duped" me into giving them my email address so they could sell me on a promise they didn't keep.

I want an e book I can read on my own time and if I like it I'll come back to you. Not only that, if I don't like it I'm not going to be as disappointed. I understand you have more opportunity to sell with a course but consider your users commitment to your content. Do you have a tight knit community? are people coming back daily?

Obviously, do what you think is right. Test if you can. This is just my opinion. Heck there are some case studies where pop-ups increased engagement... you never know.

The eBook. Short attention spans make it unlikely that the majority will stick with the 90 day course.

Mm, maybe we should start with the eBook and then offer a shorten course to really qualify the prospects.
