It is "free version of Ahref's Backlink Checker".

I use it all day, very helpful to check the DR of any domain.

I haven't used both but my friends prefer ahrefs over semrush. I'm going to start my 30 days trial with Semrush through BHW partnership.

Ahrefs and SEMrush both are useful and these two SEO tools based on their different benefits
 
Ahref, but you can work out with moz too if you know how things work.

They block that projects section for privacy.
 
Both SEMRUSH and AHREF are better but the thing which we need is up to you. why because the parameters which have been given in that are more or less similar but one or two features would be different in every tool and also price too.
 
Incase you're planning to collect few insights on backlinks, Ahrefs offers a free tool for that. SEMrush is much more kw oriented.
 
Semrush feels a little more accurate than Ahref, but some specific project Ahref is more useful.

If I was you, I would try both and see what fits your project better.
 
SEMrush rocks for me. Easy to use. Many features. Haven't tried other tools yes. But arefs is papular I heard
 
As i know ahref is a paid tool to check a global traffic,where as semrush is used for US traffic alone.both are unique in some ways..
 
Am still fairly new to this... Used both and some more tools too.. I would definitely rate ahrefs more than semrush, not just for its details but the educative things ahrefs provide is far better than Semrush.
Ahrefs advices are better and the other tools give you a much more in-depth analysis compared to Semrush.
 
Go for group buy if your use is just for your own domain

LOL. Both tools have unique advantages over each other. Semrush is a better alternative for keyword/organic/PPC research, while Ahrefs is better for backlink research. Semrush finds new keywords faster than Ahrefs, while Ahrefs discovers new backlinks faster. Overall, I prefer Semrush. I love their interface and speed. Ahrefs is a bit slow in fetching data.

Stop spreading misinformation. Semrush is king when it comes to organic traffic and keyword research, and they cover all regions.
