Which is better iOS or Android?

I choose android any day over ios because everything I use is related to Google or chrome and it makes it so much easier to sync between my devices.

I like IOS
but have two devices since some apps are exclusively on android only :(

iOS anytime because it’s more intuitive and smooth - for personal use. I also use Android for different purpose like installing apk and so on, it’s faster than sideloading apps on iPhone.

Any notable repos out their for third-party iOS apps? Never really occurred to me to even look into this besides through jailbreaks

my girlfriend just bought an iphone and i have android, so far i like android more because of its shortcuts

ios make your life easier since its a polished OS over many many years. And the cameras of an iPhone always capture the best moments hassle-free.

Android is open source. iOS is designed to restrict you to their ecosystem.
This debate is never ending though. But Android will always win when it comes to market share because there's a phone for every budget. It's Android that made smartphones accessible for everyone.

While it is open source, it's not really as black and white as it seems sadly
Biggest example is Android notifications is pretty tied to Google's ecosystem, so to even have notifications on an android phone, you will ping google's servers....
Sounds very centralized to me :P

Wouldn't argue with that. I've already given up on my right to privacy while being online.
I don't think the level of privacy on iOS is all that high either.
We're all just products and we'll keep getting monetized till we're connected to the internet.

Yup IOS is pretty much more or less the same currently
Although they "track you less" who really knows

Its exactly same as which is better, Pepsi or Coke, Shopify or Woocommerce!

Every product has billions of users, so, they are both good.

For regular users, Apple is gr8. Their system is really stable and runs for years. Basically like Shopify for ecommerce and any closed system. You enjoy stability and security.

For people who like to play with their things, have better control and customize .. Android will always be the choice.

I buy iphone for my sisters and mother while all my phones were Android.

I love both
Once you get used to it, you won't notice the difference

Android is so much better. But it is not the same to make an OS for only 1 device than to develop an OS for multiple devices, so IOS is very optimized for Iphone, while in Android optimized ROMs I would say that in Google Pixel and OnePlus only.
But yep, Android is much better and bigger than IOS. And it´s open source

I never did a sideloading on iOS, but I read/watched methods and it seemed more compliated than just download an .apk and install like you do on Android.
