Animated toons for kids gets A LOT of views
Right now I think it's a bit more interesting going for high cpm niches rather than high view topics. Shelby Church just posted a video where she was showing someone on YouTube that had a $45 CPM and he was in the ecommerce niche. The video that got him that crazy high-cpm was just him doing a screenshare and a detailed setup process for getting Shopify going on your site.
If you can speak well into a microphone and explain things clearly, going into 'ecommerce education' would be worthwhile and you wouldn't need nearly as many views to make a profitable CPM rate.
