I guess it is daily. At least I see daily position changes. However, their design is very rudimentary and not as nice as Serpbook.

One thing that makes uneasy reading...

Notice the word 'detrimental' - this suggests there WILL be negative effects on your ranking, although they won't completely slam you down the Google listings.

Surely, there should be NO negative effects with a ranking tool?

ANY rank tracking you use will hurt you. Think about it... it searches Google for your keywords and then DOES NOT click through. Thus you and everybody ahead of you are slightly lowered in click thru, while the pages BEHIND you are not hurt and look better by comparison. In VERY low competition keywords of my own I have seen constant rank checking hurt me. I caution against doing it too much. Not to mention these products want a high ransom of monthly fee's just to perform a VERY simple task that you shouldn't run everyday anyway.

My 2 cents.

I'm not quite sure I agree with this argument.

Any halfway decent rank tracker will search at least the top 100 results, so your site is not hurt any more than the other 99 sites. So unless you are worried about a site that is ranking #101 jumping to the top 10 because of your rank tracker you and all of your competitors will be impacted exactly the same by having a rank tracker check your keyword.

I find pro rank tracker to offer the best value, no idea what you would look for in a best tracker.

I would say serp book, easy to use.

Pro rank tracker seems to have more features than serpbook and its free! On top of that i've stopped paying for serpbook, seems extremely innacurate to me, my ranks would fluctuate and some days it would tell me I'm not ranking at all for my keywords where I clearly was in google, prorankertracker shows my real results.

Just my experience...

market samurai is more of keyword research tool , not a rank tracker
