I have both accounts. You have equal chances of finding clients on both Fiverr and Upwork. How you optimize your profile and gigs, bid on jobs that are a good fit for your skills and experience, and write a compelling proposal while you stay patient is important. The bottom line is to understand both algorithms and stick to what works.
 
I work on Upwork. It's just okay. Don't put your eggs in one basket, use both.
 
why not both? do both always have backup. you never know when fiverr starts going crazy and issuing warnings
