They are talking about Television----cable specifically.
They are talking about how traditional media servers like television networks and big box office cable suppliers are going to be wiped off the map by the likes of Apple T.V and Google fiber. Read the second link I posted, will give you a clearer idea of what they are trying to envision and which companies are in pole position to do that.
