almost all work, corporation bank, citi, hdfc, icici just to name a few.

do they work with paypal too ? because earlier they don't use to work so I had to get a credit card

All banks debit cards work.
Yes they work with paypal too, but you need to visa verify your debit card and verify your card.
- On Godaddy, and other sites, selecting debit card might as payment method might not work for payment. SO, select "net banking" as your payment method, and then it will direct you to the payment processor page, there pay using your debit card.
Make sure you have signed up for VISA VERIFY. Its simple, just search for your "bank name + Visa verify" in google and it will direct you to your banks visa verify signup page. Enter your card details there, and get your password.

not all the banks work with paypal.. incase it doesnt work conatct your bank and get the international transaction activated..
For online payments, get HDFC, Axis, or ICICI International Debit Card.
For paypal you need ICICI or Axis. I have HDFC as well and while some say it works, I didn't have success adding it.

Don't go with Yes Bank - they will tell you that your card will work on paypal, but it doesn't.
