Hello guys,
Uptime is very important for any website, especially for business and client projects.
I would like to know based on your real experience, which hosting provider has given you the most consistent uptime?
Have you ever had serious downtime that affected your site?
Looking forward to your honest recommendations.

I have used WPX and Hostarmanda, and both were good with uptime.
 
No idea, but dont use wordpress hosting (wordpresses own hosting) and also dont use hostinger. Theyre both a pain in the ass
 
I've also had subpar experiences with Hostinger, their support team is unresponsive and their servers are prone to downtime. In contrast, I've been using Kinsta for over a year now and their uptime has been impeccable, with only 12 minutes of downtime across all my sites in the last 6 months. Imagine, hostingers email server was down for TWO days. I couldn't read customers emails or respond to them. All the users got was a sorry...
 
I have been using Hostarmanda and it has been good so far.

This is a rhetorical question. Any machine can and will go down in future, if given enough time.

It all depends on your setup’s fault tolerance. Chasing for 100% uptime from a server provider is totally pointless.

Reliability is a thing, but often times your app runs out of memory / processing power or errors out while waiting on io or something else, it is not the server’s fault.

There are 2 different things: uptime and connection speed. Which of them are you more concerned about?
 
Tbh, from my own exp, LuxHost has been pretty damn solid uptime

For biz sites and client projects, uptime is def a big deal, and so far theyve been way more stable than a lot of the usual mainstream hosts. Fast servers, barely any drama, and I havent had any major downtime that nuked my sites or caused serious issues

LuxHost has been chill, reliable, and pretty smooth for me so far. Def worth checking out if uptime is your main thing

For client projects I’ve had the least drama with a small VPS on Hetzner or Vultr + Cloudflare in front, but only if you can manage the server properly. Cheap shared hosting can be fine for small sites, until one bad neighbor or overloaded node takes everyone down and support just says “we are checking”. Worst downtime I had was with a shared cPanel host years ago, almost 9 hours, and the annoying part was not the downtime itself but zero clear updates. Also keep email separate from hosting... learned that one the hard way.

One thing that is universally true - you get what you pay for.

I'd stay away from too good to be true sounding offers, these are competing on price and special deals, only to re-bill you later at a much higher rate.

The risk here is they may eventually get too many clients looking exactly for that.
Which means they'll eventually oversell, and you'll get performance and support issues alike (as the support will be overwhelmed as well).
 
@Nexora550 made the most practical point here... keeping email separate is basic hygiene but so many people still skip it. if client emails are on the same shared server as their site, one bad neighbor or a single spam issue can block their entire communication. running VPS instances on Hetzner or Vultr managed through something like RunCloud or Ploi is usually the sweet spot for business sites. It keeps costs down compared to overpriced managed hosts, but you still get dedicated resources so uptime remains stable.
