It all really depends on your purpose, budget and needs.
Running a high-end website with thousands of concurrent users on a lowend budget server is just a stupid idea even if that "budget server" is hailed as great.
Notably, I am quite satastified with the following hosting providers that I have used or are still using

AWS FTW... This is the most reliable cost effective out there. You can also get $1000 in free credits from them.

it totally depends on your requirement.
What do you want to host?
Do you want offshore hosting?
Do you want the hosting to be cheap or fast?
Hostinger is pretty good. Unless there is some special requirement.

Monthly $16 and I host three websites on it. Only one gets decent traffic

You may choose from a wide variety of web hosts, but two that are quite notable are Bluehost and HostGator. With HostGator's services, webmasters might preserve wealth.
