Which Free System is best for a software site? [blogspot sucks]

ok so ive tried blogspot with most of my niches but the problem with blogspot is that it ranks on page 1 for about a week and then it drops.. to like page 4 or 5..

maybe because of lack of updates.. but niche blogs cannot be regularly updated..

so now i want to make a software blog.. like something where i can review softwares and then at the end of the review give a trial download and buy now links..

another problem with blogspot and software blogs os that there are no categories in which the softwares can be categorized.

if you want to make niche sites, i suggest u using static site (xsitepro, weebly, etc)

blogspot, wordpress... i found that if you're not updating your site, your ranking
will be dropped..

Just out of curiosity, why are you going with a blog if you are not interested in updating it?

Thankd for the suggestions.. and yes i also found out the hard way that if i dont update my blog it keeps falling in ranking..

im looking for completely free systems.. and i think xsitepro is just a software and ill have to get a domain and hosting for that.. also i can make those sites in html or php.

weebly seems good... anyone else have any suggestions like that.. free systems which are reliable and rank well.

Try expression engine. I've used it in the past for review websites and it's pretty good.
