Hi,

Apart from tumblr, do any of these blogs allow for re-registration of expired or deleted sub-domains?

1.WordPress.com
2. Blogspot.com
3. My.Opera.com
4. Blog.com
5. Edublogs.com
6. Bloghi.com
7. Bravenet.com
8. Citeulike.com
9. Sosblogs.com
10. Wikidot.com
11. Xanga.com
12. Blogigo.com
13. Blog.FC2.com
14. Livejournal.com

I don't know about the rest but blogspot doesn't expire so it cannot be re-registered. However, it can be transferred so if you come across one that you really like you can try contacting the owner and asking if they would be willing to transfer it to you. Do not offer to "buy" it since this goes against the TOS.

Good question, i am also interested to know it.
So far i only scrape expired tumblr in scrape box.
Any other web2.0 to scrape for?

Blogspots does expire after they've been deleted for 6 months. I'm not entirely sure about this, but I do know that they eventually become open for registration if they havn't been removed for something which makes them unavailable for life. I'm also pretty sure that wikidot used to allow this, but I'm not sure if they still allow it.

But why don't you just put those web 2.0s you've listed into scrapebox with a few keywords, use something like xenu to see if they're expired or deleted and then try to register a couple of those? It would take very little time to figure this out yourself.

My bad. I didn't know that blogspots expire after they have been deleted. You learn something new everyday.

No,You wrong,Blogspot allow re-register for expired domain,I have already register 100 domain with pr1-pr4

I think livejournal allows too .

Thanks guys! I believe some guy started a thread looking for feedback on a bot he was compiling that could trot sites, look for such expired subdomains and register but that thread was deleted.

I am gona go via that scrapebox and xenu route to figure out.

Hi Kwakuo, here is the steps for expired tumblr extraction in scrape box
i) at scrapebox, input your keywords -> scrape more keywords and remove duplicates
ii) Use the new keywords -> and insert site:.tumblr.com (use custom)
iii) Then start harvest
iv) Trim the url to root
v) remove duplicates
vi) User check alive tool in scrape box add ons and filter out the alive one
vii) Now you have a list of dead tumblr, check their page rank using scrape box add-on.
viii) And try to register for them (create new blog under your main tumblr account)
* I saw some tumblr accounts are still alive using this method, some use 301 redirect to boost their website using the juice. Haven't find a way yet, but u can find some tools to check for this in between step vi and vii

Simple and nicely done. Thanks mate!

How to get all the web 2.0 account for my website.
For example, my website is bhwsitezzz.com. I bought this domain name from deleted domain names.
How can create/re-create the web 2.0 accounts, if them are already exist?
Example:
How can I get bhwsitezzz.blogspot.com, if it exists?

Thank you

Bellow your questions are my answers.

First you need to search and see if there are any web2.0's with that usernames registered. Scrapebox Vanity check addon can help with about 10 web2.0's. Or you can simply use scrapebox or do it manually for each web2.0.

Example:
How can I get bhwsitezzz.blogspot.com, if it exists?
If the web2.0 already exists you can't get it. However you can TRY by contacting the owner, hoping he will give/delete his blog for you.

Thank you

Getting back on topic, here are some web2.0's that allow re-registration: tumblr, weebly, blogspot, livejournal (they have a $15 fee for this), overblog.

So can someone be so kind and list the web 2.0 where we may be able to register again after they expired?

I tried tubmlr. that's great it works.. what other web 2.0 are there?

yeah someone please , im also waiting for the answer

bumping this thread for updated 2.0's that allow re-registration
