which domain would you choose?

Hello!
I would love to have your opinion about a domain name i am about to purchase.
The exact domain name is ofcourse already taken. So, if for example the name i want
is canaryislands (which is taken and also canary-islands taken as well), what would be the best way to go from SEO point of view?
(please note that the targeted keyword is canary islands), so..
Option 1: canary1slands
Option 2: canaryislandss
Option 3: canaryisands-guide
Option 4: your idea...?

Don't think the EMD still worth much, better choose the one most marketable, I would go with either 2 or 3.

I'd choose between option 1 and 2 from a SEO point of view.

From a domain reseller point of view I'd choose neither.

If your target keyword is canary islands then you want that in your domain.

I would do some keyword research and see if there are any available domains that get any traffic...for example canaryislandsnews or canaryislandslatest.

I know from experience that you are going to struggle to rank for "canary islands" unless you have ninja seo skills and a lumpy budget . I would look at building up a number of niche sites per island ie fuerteventuralatest....lanzarotelatest etc and try and build a brand network.

You don't need an EDM to rank a site easily, simply optimize the title, description, content, tags and images and you are done..

Thats some great advice, I always do something similar for more difficult keywords, you end up getting to know your niche a lot better also.

To be honest the canary islands was just an example. I am targeting the islands of my country. This exact keyword has 40000 exact searched/month.
