Which domain to choose?

womenmag is more, less characters are better for such sites.

I prefer the mag option. It looks more pleasing. But however maybe you need to check both of the domains have history. If one of them have bad history then you take the other one.

Shorter = better and more targeted = better.
So in some cases mag would be better because people like short domains and it's easier to remember those.
On the other side magazine is more professional and it's describing your site as a magazine (professional one).

I would base it on the type of content you'll be putting on. A finance/business site seems to lend itself more to the full "magazine", while something more trendy/fashion oriented would be good for "mag". "Mag" is kind of casual, so just think about it in that sense.

Doesn't really matter which one you choose, if your site is good they will remember either way.
Mag is enough I think.
