Hello BHW,
I am in the process of picking a domain name and I have been doing some key word research. I've narrowed my choices down to 2 EMDs of the same TLD and I would like to hear your input.
note: this will end up turning into a large site because it's in a field that I am studying right now and they are both pretty good names for a site like this.
Keyword1 - a three word key word
Keyword2 - a two word key word
Just given the exact searches for the 2 key words I would have taken keyword2 because it has twice as many local(US & English speaking) searches as keyword 1 does. However when I saw the HUGE difference in broad searches (almost 30,000% change) between the two, I started to think Keyword1 was a better choice.
Then I looked at the competition I would be up against (intitle, inurl, and both) and keyword 1(the one with a whole lot more broad searches) looks like it will be easier to rank because it only has about 1/10th the number of pages.
If you could please tell my your opinion about which one to go after and why you would do so, that would be great.
Many thanks,
-HoH
