Which Domain is the Most SEO Optimized?

Assuming the keyword here is: how to go black hat.

1. how-togoblackhat.com/.net/.org

2. howto-goblackhat.com/.net/.org

3. howtogo-blackhat.com/.net/.org

4. howtogoblack-hat.com/.net/.org

By the way, is a domain with 2 dashes, i.e domain--name.com, optimized?

.com is better, i'd say not 4 because some people spell "blackhat" not "black hat", the first 3 should be equal

Drop the hyphens if you can. They don't have good fame currently. If you really need to have them, try to have them between ALL the words (how-to-go-black-hat.com), so at least you get a minimal seo advantage (but some state that hyphens are classified as spammy per se). You may shorten the frequently united words (black hat > blackhat) to one.

blackhat-howto.com would be better than any above, and would still be bad. Try other keywords or another tld. Better a .cx extension than hyphens in a .com.

From those 4, this one is the best.

I doubt it has any influence regarding SEO related to the others (having twohorses or two-horses is considered the same by google, except the domain size [the shorter, the better]).

Now familiarity... there's something completely different altogether. People will recognize that one better.

None of them. Drop the hypens, dashes. Rethink this strategy. I had a hypenated website and it was buried and nothing I could do could change it.

Unless you can get the keyword.com .net or .org, it's best to move on. There are better (easier) sites and niches you can pursue.

I still believe a hyphen is better than a prefix or suffix but at the end of the day it is only one part of the SEO puzzle.
