which domain is better for ranking ?

howdy all

heres my scenario.

I searched through some other threads in this regard but theres none that quite give me the answer to this dilemma.

I have a niche that I am interested in targetting, however I am unsure about the domain to choose.

lets say my niche is "android phone" but androidphone.com is not available and neither is android-phone.com

so I am investigating what to do here because the options are :

myandroidphone.com
my-android-phone.com

but the target phrase is "android phone"

I am not interested in people remembering the url so essentially im after search engine traffic.

which should I go for?

why are you adding dashes now??? suppose if you have androidphone.com and android-phone.com.. what will you choose???

Im just trying to determine which is better for ranking, hyphenated or non hyphenated
 
Go for myandroidphone.com or similar EMD`s with a sufix or prefix. Domains with dashes suck ! Cheers
 
Go with myandroidphone.com for sure. Why would you pick the EMD with dashes over no dashes?
 
myandroidphone.com is by far better. The dashes just seem to get in the way, even if you're trying to just use the "My Android Phone".

I think you should use the instantdomainsearch.com tool to get the most relevant domain name. This is the best tool to find the desired domain names with relevant options. You can also use the words like application in the domain names such as "androidphoneapplications, which will become a plus point for your site.
 
is it necessary to have a keyword and domain similar it the keyword is andriod world then i have to make the website the domain name starting Andriodworldx or something is adding keyword in the domain necessary to get ranking ? or traffic easily
 
if andriod-phone.com is available take it. or go for myandroidphone.com

here is the order:

1. keyword.com
2. key-word.com
3. mykeyword.com
4.my-keyword.com

Anyone else agree with this? Even if you are trying to corner an "untapped" niche?
 
Watch out for trademark names. Sometimes they get you right away for using trademark names without their permission and sometimes they wait a little while.

As for EMD, if you're not building a brand and simply trying to attract traffic then you can either register a hyphenated or non-hyphenated domain. The ranking will not matter because Google doesn't discount domains with hyphens.
