I'm sorry to burst your bubble, but with 10 laptops you wont be making anything near 1$/day, not even 0.01$ . In fact mining with laptops is a big no-no because of the heat. IF you still want to try mining, look for CPU only coins like Monero or Magi (XMG).

    Check coinwarz com

But mining coins is really not worth it anymore. It's more about trading / exchanging now.

Litecoin can mine with both more efficiently and easier than Bitcoin, but ensure you use a Cloud Miner as having physical machines is outdated in modern mining society.

I would honestly recommend checking out proof-of-stake (POS) coins.

Bitcoin is proof of work (POW) which works with complex equations and major power. POS splits mining simply amongst its wallet client instances, and offers rewards tk those wallets actively open and running and available to process a few transactions. This is as simple as getting a wallet of the POS coin, buying a little of the exchange (or whatever is clever) and moving them to a wallet to ket them sit and grow.

Mining traditionally is "so yesterday" haha

    EDIT:

Some good POS coins to google would be "blockchain technology currency" and "blackcoin". Simply download the wallet version for whatever OS your laptop is, and leave it on 24/7

With traditional mining, itd be frustrating AF managing it all. POS coins would be much better.

    A laptop? You'll get $1/day if you're lucky.

I can calculate how much you will be making per hour/day/week but I need you to be more specific.
PS: Don't bother mining with your GPU, are laptops you have are used plus they have a integrated GPU which is awful.

What are the specs of EACH laptop?
What coin are you interested in mining?
What is your goal, and how long do you give yourself to reach it? (Money wise)
How much time will you be mining.
    Electricity cost?

DogeCoin mining can be done solely with CPU.

Don't burn your computer mining stuff you can't manage.

The time is over to mine with CPU or GPU. The profit is so little and you crash your system.
    Use an ASIC miner instead.

Your best bet is Gridcoin! No other crypto like it.

The issue is if the coin has value lots of people will start mining it.. the value will go up the also the difficulty. What I'm trying to say is anything worth mining will be to hard to mine with just a laptop.

It's worth it if you are in a place with very cheap hardware and power, or if you have access to using a cluster of computational power with free electricity. In the early days a sysadmin of a university made millions by having all computers in idle mine bitcoin. You could do similiar if you have access to lots of cpu think like several thousand computers mining on someone else's bill. In reality though mining would be hard and only doable in certain ways. There are mining labs in china where they use barebones parallel gpu clusters with nothing but power and the bare software mining on that system with no OS or anything so it's like a mining engine with barebones software to actually do the mining at like a Bios level or probably just unix and a script installed. This would be doable because of the cheap power but would cost a lot up front of course for the GPU's

That's right... these days is not worth to mine with CPU and even with GPU. ASIC is the power now.
