This. India is one of the most diverse tourist spots out there. You get everything starting from forest, sea beaches to mountains, desert and whatnot. If showing off isn't op's deal (no offense.. we all do it lol), they should go somewhere in India only. :)

Also about the Thailand suggestion.. What we saw there this year (this was my first thailand trip).. i wouldn't recommend it for couples lol. The whole country feels like a govt supported brothel. I am sorry if anyone gets offended about this remark. Its a beautiful place..no wonder.. but.. you kw what i am talking about.

Thailand is nice and pretty exotic. You can also try Santorini in Greece, best sunsets by far, very beautiful place in general.
