Which browser should I create my plugin for, first?

I want to create an IM related plugin, and was wondering which browser do I start with first?

- I use Firefox all the time, and that is the best for plugins (I guess?)
- But Chrome seems to have the largest market share (65%, vs 21% of FF)
- And Safari users (apple) - have the most money [I read that Google earns 80% of its mobile search revenue from the 20% Apple iOS users. SO am guessing Mac Safari users too should have the most money & be most profitable.]

But safari is out of the race for now, coz reaching the max no of users is highest priority. So it's between FF & Chrome..

I am heavily in favor of going for Firefox coz I use that most of the time, and feel among IM'ers the % of FF users may be high coz of the plugin support. So that's what I wanna ask. Which browser do you mostly use? (The purpose of this poll really is to find out what % of IM'ers are comfortable using FF..)

Chrome > FF > Safari > IE > Opera


For IM and browsing I prefer Chrome, but I love Nightly (Firefox) for webdeveloping.

I feel like most people around here are using windows so Safari should be secondary.

I guess no serious Internet Marketer uses IE (except for testing purposes)

Opera is a great browser but its market share is very low.

Chrome and FF. Everything else can wait.

Chrome occupy more than 65% of the market, so I guess in IM ratio is the same

Personally prefer Chrome, I think most companies develop plugin there than Firefox - e.g. Buffer, HootSuite, AwesomeScreenshot. What type of plugin are you currently working on?

Chrome, Firefox and Internet explorer are the most commonly browsers that are being used. The Speed of Chrome and Features makes the difference. And it is also the most user friendly browser.

I use Mozila mostly. But it vary according to workload.

Thanks a lot.. I didn't get any email notifications of the replies, so assumed the thread went dead. The reason I was fixated on FF was, the chrome plugins are all drop-downs - and don't feel like a real plugin. It doesn't provide for fixed,docked panels either..
