Didn't get the name. Was using it for facebook posting and liking. It was run by Firefox extension.

I have yet too see a really good, public instagram bot since xgram or instadominate and both are dead for around 3 years now.
Most people nowadays use the two next best things aka FL and MP.
If you thought that this thread will magically reveal you a better bot than FL, i think you'll be disappointed.
FL has a learning curve, functions aren't always self-explanatory even after you read the manual, describe your issue with it and maybe someone can help.

What's wrong with followliker? It works well for me i don't see the problem with it other long term plan instagram bots are going to cost you a lot more in the future and doesn't even have the same amount of features that followliker has.
I am looking for a bot that can do the following things:
Follow/Unfollow
Like
Comment
I was thinking about going for megabot since I do not want to pay monthly, rather just a one-time payment, but I wanted to run the bot on my Raspberry Pi and therefore I cannot run a .exe
A browser-based bot (like Instagress, but you have to pay monthly for it --> don't want) would be perfect. Any suggestions? Or is there a Megabot version for Linux around?
Also a nice bonus would be if you could schedule posts with it, at the moment I am using Hootsuite for that.

The thing that is pissing me off about FL is that it is not following users as soon as they post a photo on a given hashtag.
Example: it is 4 PM and FL follows a user that has posted its last photo on a given hashtag at 2 PM. Of course I have the "Scrape only top result" option ticked.
Using the same settings with Likes and they are completely OK (fresh photos liked).
You guys should really check out your activity monitor in FL to see if it is following users as soon as they post a pic or hours later...

That's because you have your scrape limit too high, set it much much lower; I've put high performing accounts onto mass planner and kept tweaking settings for weeks and it gives terrible results compared to even instagress. I talked to their support and they scrape comments first, then go on to likes. So I would recommend getting to know follow liker better. Instagress can actually produce some good results in my experience, but it also has less filters and follows spammier accounts overall.
