That depends how you want it built too.

If you want high quality tier-1 then scrapebox, xrumer, or even senuke and ultimate demon won't let you manage them easily.

So get to know what you really want first, then do some research to find the very best tool.

While there are tools you can develop that will add to a good SEO campaign - just creating tools that perform the same function as somthing that costs a few hundred bucks a month (or for life) is a frikking waste of time.

Why? You do know they change sign up and submission all the time?
You know it will take you WEEKS initially then a day or so every week for ever to keep on top of the changes
That for a few dollars there are tools that already do this and are kept up to date by the devs.

If you value your time at under a dollar an hour - then sure, this might be the way to go (if you already are pretty good at coding)
But for anyone else this is a collosal waste of time.

However, coding tools that do stuff that no other decent tool does is a GREAT idea.
Not just getting links, but chat bots, Facebook scrapers, site analysis tools, CL and gumtree posting, forum posters (that go back and post daily to forums for weeks on end on autopilot until you've got "link in signature" enabled in your user CP), RSS scraping and mashing...there are loads of things you can do.

But writing the 500th bot to create a Tumblr account and post on it.....is a frikking waste of your time. Leave that to the pro's who also get economy of scale selling these bots to maybe dozens or even hundreds of people, have a team of programmers and community relations people, great marketing, a distribution network, a lot of finance etc, and use your skills to INNOVATE

In one evening I once thought of around 30 bots that didn't exist that would be bloody brilliant in SEO. I created a couple of the simpler ones in Zenno (and one in VB)

• 1st Tier SEnuke (best if cost no object) UD (best value for money)
• 2nd Tier Xrumer if you have dozens or 100's of URL's to promote at any one time. GSA if you have well under 100
• Scrapbox for getting link lists, scraping competition, blog posting, and lots of other stuff.
• Proxies to anonymity
• Captcha solving service...to get around anti spam.

And a good source of content, because in the long run this is what you'll need, and without it, you're probably shafted.

Nope. "I'm going to code a tool that posts to 50 Web 2.0 sites no other publicly available tool can post too that will also interlink everything in a way I want it to that can scale to 1,000,000 links per day on a grid". Beat that with SENuke!

@cash202: Obviously you play at a higher level than most of us, especially the OP here, which is why your thread is one of my favorites.

But for the OP, I suggest taking the "ready-made software" route first, then when income starts to pour in, learn programming part time. If budget is not an issue, buy a couple of tools to build tiered links effectively. That will yield faster results than any software. Even if you only afford to buy one software, like Nuke or UD, don't just set and forget. Make your own twist and don't get lazy. If some things can't be done exactly to your standard, do it manually.

Then add tools to your repository as you grow your income. When you reach a comfortable income level, take the automation to the next level. Remember focus on cash flow, this is business. Programming can be fun, but it doesn't bring in money. (Everything besides selecting niche, promoting products, building list and driving traffic are just distractions. They are cost.)

You're kidding right?

Senuke or UD are both great places to start. At the moment I just use Zenno and stopped using everything else (except for scrapebox). I love the flexibility and the fact that templates are really only limited by your imagination. You can create accounts with random templates, profiles, reblog, follow, like, scrape content, build web2 blog networks etc. A few things to know about Zenno:

- it is not difficult and you do not need to have any programming knowledge
- it is time consuming
- you can always buy templates to get started, and there are plenty of resources to learn (lots of great videos)
- within a week (even day 1!) you will be able to create a basic account creator/poster
- a basic template takes around 30-60 minutes to make once you get the hang of it, but some can take several hours. Your first template may take you a whole day or 2!
- you can make either custom templates (eg wordpress, blogger, tumblr) or template platforms (WPMS, pligg, elgg, wiki,forum etc)
- you can use Zenno to automate >75% of websites, more if you can code. For example, drag and drop (squidoo/hubpages posting) is currently not supported with Zenno.
- really the only limit in account creation is how many private proxies you have.

If you are new to automation, get senuke or UD, scrapebox, and maybe GSA. If you find you still have spare time and want to expand, then look at Zenno. It took around 3 months to get all my templates sorted, but I reckon you could do it in a month if you put the effort in.

I can beat that easily - but not with SENuke - that isn't what it's for.
I wouldn't want a profile made up entirely of WEB20 sites anyway. That's like raising the big red flag of "self promotion" to the SE's
But to mix it in sounds very good.
Are these proper "WEB20 content/context sites" not "WEB20 Profile" empty link rubbish?
If the former - are you planning on selling it or subbing it?
If so - and you want a network of sites to support it and close to 1 million SEO unique searches a month across several big sites, then PM me.

Wrong forum.

This isn't for people with one site and a couple of URL's to promote in a soft niche.
Most of the guys here have networks of sites, hundreds or even thousands of URL's to promote (or hundreds of thousands even)
Each one needs linking to.

Doing that manually would take several lifetimes.
Like I say - I'm guessing you are in the wrong forum.

Xrumer is one of the cheapest tools on the market. With other tools you pay more than $500 in captcha cost in a year. Also it is not really difficult to use, but most people don't use it properly so do more harm than good.

What I recommend you is first do things manually for a while - more exactly until you feel physically sick of registering accounts, posting, etc. during this time keep your eyes open wide. When you start to automate look at how you do it and how others do it, then remember how you do it by hand as a regular user of a certain site and see what the differences are. Those differences and others are the reason most people fail while a few succeed even though they use the same strategy overall. Succes in SEO lies in attention to details, coordination of your resources, capitalizing on resources none or very few know about or use and finally ability to scale. I'm sure there are other things, but i find these very important.

Finally, you should never ask a question like "what tool should I get". This shows me you are mentally not at the right level to properly use tools. What you should ask YOURSELF not others (a.k.a. research thoroughly) is "why does insert-domain-here.com rank for 'insert keyword here'". That means you ANALYZE thoroughly, don't ask for advice from others to protect yourself from retarded answers that would hinder your understanding and poison it and finally you find ways to do the same thing successful sites do but at a fraction of the cost and/or do them better than they do them.

Following the "people on SEO forums say I should do X, Y and Z techniques and types of links" guarantees failure because you just follow the pack (which may be wrong) and you don't actually UNDERSTAND the WH's - why, what, where, when, how. you only get the answer to "what" and it may in fact be incorrect or detrimental.
