EBay's 21 day hold policy sucks, Low ticket items who cares. But, When get you get into ipods and laptops. You start to question everything. I've been selling on Ebay for over 10 years, and every since they bought paypal. Ebay's sucked.
Ebay, is still the big fish. But, with Craigslist, Yahoo nixing their auction site and Amazon stepping their game up. Its just not the site it used to be.
Amazon has surprised me over the past few months. I am not a big fan of their fee scale or the fact they don't accept paypal. BUT, Hey. Somehow. It works. Been doing nothing but massively dropshipping low ticket items. Paying off.

Usually my items sell for more on Amazon, but a lot slower. It's expensive too - not that ebays not. For my business model, ebay works much better.

ive been in the game for a few days and so far ive made more sales on ebay, it seems faster and less big stores to compete with

I been paid by amazon but man there pay period suck you have to wait a whole 3 months I believe.
if you going to wait that long to get paid you might as well do cpa, clickbank, ebay anything is better then waiting 3 months to get paid and that's why I don't really like promoting amazon i dont know how people can get by waiting so long to get paid by amazon.
When I finally got paid the direct deposit didn't work had to wait another month man it really sucks that's mho.

Amazon is mucchhhhhh better my friend. It is so easy to start a business on Amazon it is ridiculous.. now.. selling your stuff is a different story.. because the prices are really competitive.. biut then again so is ebay. If you;re new to online retail, go with Amazon. Lisintg products is ridiculously easy and you don;t have to deal with Paypal...

Amazon has a great platform and if you have the right products to sell in bulk, it is definitely the way to go. Each item already has a description, and all you really have to do is enter how many units you have to sell. Check your account each day and ship out the product. Check the top 100 items in each category and if you can find a wholesale for that product and can sell it at the same price or a little above what is being offered, you will sell a lot!
The rankings for each item are important so pay close attention to that.
Start off slow (first 2-3 weeks) 'cause otherwise if they see a sudden increase in sales volume, they will limit your account (can't withdraw funds for a few weeks) and ask for proof of shipping for every product. A good idea would be to have delivery confirmation #s and they will take off the limit pretty quickly. If not, then you have to ask for feedback from your customers and this will help a lot too.
Ebay is very competitive and so is Amazon. It doesn't cost you anything to list items on Amazon but the product inventory is limited unlike ebay. If you have 1000 items to list, your cost at Amazon is $0.

I bet you the sellers on there that had this item listed were selling up to a 100 DVDs a day. And I am not talking about just the lowest priced DVD. ebay has the best payout. Amazon products sell well but the commission you earn is rough. It also depends on the product as some sell better on amazon vs ebay. Generally it is all based on the fact that Amazon is trust worthy from a buyers point vs ebay you may not get what you paid for.
Ebay is a great converting affiliate program but you never know what bullshit reason they gonna find to kick you. So far, I have had 2 ebay accounts banned just because I was making too much money and they didn't wanna pay :thefinger. No warning from ebay, no appeal possible, no response to emails asking why and all traffic was whitehat. If you are making a lot of money with ebay, you are warned....

If you would have asked me a year ago I would have said Ebay but I have noticed that lately when doing price comparisons on items that I buy or are interested in buying I get a better deal with Amazon (super saver shipping helps as well and the reviews of products).

I too was kicked off the EPN program just because I was sending traffic from
Twitter and they couldn't track it properly, so to play it safe they closed my
account and banned me just to be on the safe side.
eBay can suck my lollipop as far as I a concerned. Their aff program has gone
down hill and I hope they crash and burn.

for me amazon is the king. i've got 4,000 current listings and i don't pay until it sells. if i had that much on ebay hell the fees would kill me for each week they are listed.
only thing i don't like is that sales are very speratic for me at least. i've tried ebay in the past but haven't used them for years.
