Which accounts to follow?

Hey all I started growing my insta account a few days ago, have a steady 50 follows/day. I think that is very low and I think I can get higher. I need advice of some questions

So I use the follow/unfollow method, which popular accounts do I use the follower list from? Do I use the followlist from celebrities in my niche? Or do I use the followlist of businesses in my niche? Or is it fanpages in my niche?

Also, do I follow private insta accounts? Or is it not worth the time?

What have you tried so far? I think each niche is different as far as what you want to follow/unfollow

Follow the followers from your niche's influencers. Better yet, make sure the ones you follow are the active fans and not bots. Engagement is king in Instagram.

I agree if you are using a bot i dont think it matters too much if you get some bots in there because a lot of the influencers' followers are flooded with them along with pump and dump pages. If you follow/unfollow manually take a look at the people you're going to follow before hand.

Yeah follow/unfollow manually is tedious but if you have the time it can be rewarding because you are filtering out the spams and engaging with the true audience and their followback rate will also be much higher and resulting in a healthy page with real accounts instead of spams and bots. I have yet to find an IG bot that is able to filter spams and have super focused targeting option like the one mentioned.

I am doing so right now, I follow people <500 followers and <1000 following. I am in the music niche, so do you think it is a good idea to follow the followers of Justin Bieber etc? Or should I follow the followers of Record Labels. Should I follow private accounts too?

Think I read somewhere that 53% of JB's fans are fake or bots so if you're really following his followers just make sure they're real active accounts that are actually posting their own daily life contents instead of following spambots. Following the fans of record labels works as well, as long as they are under your Music genre (it has to relate to the fans so they have a reason to follow you).

Thank you, that's what I was worried about, too many bots. I will use the advice.

If you were to program a bot to diffrentiate between real/fake profiles, what criteria should you considered in the program? How to find out if the page is a bot or a real one?

most likely the same parameters Instagram themselves look for when banning accounts imo itll be pretty tedious trying to program something so targeted but if it gets done it will be well worth whatever the cost
