I have built GSA links for about 2 months until last month with parasite site.

it had like a few 10s of backlinks so rank got improved.

but maybe after the google update,
rank suddenly dropped dramatically, so i checked links,
it says 0 on moz! before it was like more than 20.

what happened and anyone had the same issues before??

please help me out!

do not expect wonders or long term ranking from such links and do not rely on Moz to find/save and track your links,
such links shouldn't be used anywhere above the 2nd tier, you're getting the whole thing wrong dude, give it a second read ;)

Put your site into free ahrefs webmasters and check the backlinks in there. That is better than moz.

I know but it was parasite + GSA.

today ranking got back to normal.
strange.
maybe it's because of the new google update.

will keep on eye on it!
thanks

Sounds like a Google dance, happens after you build links

thanks for your reply.

yeah i think so.

but it's strange cuz i built the links at least 1~2 month before
and the dance just started now.

Were these links of quality?

By GSA, you mean automated.

While your technique does not sound strong or sustainable to me, but who knows - in the world of SEO, ultimately result speaks (and long-term results speak for long).

I have my own way of saying this - When Google is happy, it dances, and when it is angry, it slaps. If you want to use that as a quote, do mention my name - Fred - as who invented that quote! :)

So give it some time - it could settle well and positive. Though that does not make me a fan of your approach, or at least what I get of it from this one post.

I'm pretty sure these programs and their users rely on volume. Just raw, massive volume every single day keep the links coming in their thousands for when the old ones drop.
They won't be very high quality, but it's just a parasite page and it's what you want to do - if you're going to do it, keep going and keep the links coming.

You might also consider building proper links for your page, and building automated links for those links to give them more juice. But again, you'll have to keep the links coming whilst also building more manual links, whilst spreading out the links between your pages. A lot of work for something that's supposed to be automatic.

Think about running the automation on some sort of schedule. Learn how they index and drop, work with the averages (and build on the outliers which did well), and have the tool run to build more links before/as they drop or index to keep it all going constantly.

yeah i know it's low quality,
but it was proper for the project.

ranking got back and it's on 1st page.

Completely agree with this. Had to learn the hard way myself throughout the years - focus on quality.
