Months and months of work... I finally seo'd a site up to #6 for a huge keyword.
It's "supposed" to be getting 5M Global and 2.7M Local in google keyword tool for exact match.

But WTF??? Not getting more than 8 visits a day!?!?!?


To answer the obvious questions that I know to check for:

No, I am not logged in to google... and yes I have checked position thru various personal
VPS and Prox. Even checked it while on the road from a different state lol.


What the heck could be happening?

how are you determining exact match search? what tools? if adwords do you have the exact match box checked?

That's really odd... Did you make sure your analytics/tracking is on ALL of the pages and not just one?

Also, put yourself in the searchers shoes. If you searched that keyword, does your website provide content of what the searcher is looking for?

How is the title? Meta description?

If you are correct on the #6 position then the only issue should be, as Patel said, title and meta descr. Make sure to have smth that pops out and gets them in. Good luck!

I hate to have to ask this, but did you check the search volume in the Google Keyword tool and forget to set it to [EXACT]?

You probably didn't use the exact option. But google keyword tool can also sometimes give wrong information. I've experienced this in the past.
