Where to upload wordpress site for free?

I've created a wordpress site for a client and hosted it on my server because he's a good friend of my family. It's been a few months and there's always an excuse why he can't get a host. Are there any free sites where I can import the wordpress site and just give him the login details? I just want to be done with it. I know I should just give him a deadline, but I've already offered to transfer it to his server many times but he's always been putting it off.

There are not really any good hosting for free, closest to free is HostKoala at the cost of $4 with the coupon WHT20 for one year of hosting, if you go with the 3 year plan it will cost you about $3.73 per year. Chose the closest server location where his customers are from. This is what I would do if I needed to get rid of hosting a website for a friend that do not engage in my communication with them.
 
free hosting is either very limited, or very gimmicky, and if you care about your friend you won't screw him over by moving his business to free hosting, and you should tell him (in terms easy to understand) that free hosting = bad business. Besides, he's got his own server, so he should be the 1st one interested in fully owning his own business, thus transferring it to his own damn server.

I've compiled a list of free hosting providers about an year ago, you can probably (still) find it if you search for free hosting using my BHW username... or was it cheap hosting ?!? I don't remember... but either way, I think I may still have that list somewhere on my computer, if you really really REALLY want it so badly I can search for it and post it here, so let me know. But that list is pretty old (probably 1 year or older), so I'm not sure how many of those providers are still offering free hosting, or how many of them are still in business. But in all honesty, you can now get reliable hosting for like $5-6 per year if you shop around for good deals, so you should urge your friend to stop being such a little bitch and get his own hosting if his own server is too full or something
 
Why not just use Hostkoala? It's a fcking $5 per year. You can even get it for ridiculously cheaper with their discount Lol. Isn't that already almost FREE? Considering the quality they offer, I bet you won't go wrong.

I am hosting a clients two sites on there so I know exactly what I'm talking about. Besides, my business website started off with Hostkoala for a whole year before I finally could make some money to invest in a much more powerful dedi VPS. So I can tell you with experience this is probably the best you can get for [almost] FREE.

Thank you, I didn't know about HostKoala. I'll just put it on there and let him decide on his own after a year.

Go to GCP ( https://console.cloud.google.com/ )
Go to Compute Instances, click on Create Instance

Select Oregon (Low CO2) and select E2-micro.
It will say it costs $7, but it's free, courtesy of Google.

It has 1vCPU and 700+ MB RAM, more than enough to run a WP website.
It will stay free for a long time, so you don't have to worry about it.

I have successfully hosted 7 websites on that instance with a total of 18 000 UV/day without any issues.
 
Free hosting means that a person should have a up-to-date backup. Just find the solution you need and ask your find to move there. I guess that new circumstances will make him to start thinnking about paid hosting and he will appreciate what you have been doing for him.
 
Another option is Oracle Cloud. Gonna need some basic technical knowledge but you get a pretty sizeable monthly allowance on the free plan
 
Being honest with you. No.

Free Hostings are a shit. You will ruin the business or company of your friend and he will also be liable for that.
Don't hear him.

The best friends are who tell the truth to others friends, just advice him to pick up a hosting because it have costs (eletricity etc)
Free Hosting you are the product and your details can be leaked, hacked, downtime and suspended (guess why, you didn't paid for that)

Tell him why he shouldn't go with free hosting. His website can be offline at anytime since is free, can be injected ads for free without permission and you can get suspended at any time!
Lose money, lose time.

Pick up a 10€ yearly web hosting or 40€ yearly hosting isn't expensive. 40€ hosting is expensive? Then he is not ready to be in business.

Or why you don't charge him to be in your server or manage or move to other!?

Just leave then if he doesn't want to move. Leave him alone in that.
Why we should help people who refuses to be helped many times? And still with excuses? Your did your job, then finish it.

HOW TO CHANGE his mind?
If nothing results, you left him alone. That is the truth.
Another way is to host his website in his own computer and network and point IP to the domain. When he have the *click* he will understand that if he shutdown the computer the website will go down.
He will need to have computer ON for 24/7/365 his opinion will change soon. ;)

Free Hosting = Bullshit.

If you wanted to build a business aka website that needs to be on a profit note without any interruptions, thinking about free hosting for a Wordpress really not a viable plan.
 
You can host it wherever you find the place.
Just make sure you keep all backup with you.
 
If you want then you can host or build your website on WordPress.com
or else host on WordPress.org by investing in basic plans so that you will don't have any limitations on website design.

If you want free hosting I'd rather recommend you go with making a blogger website
