Hello everyone :)

I would like to sell one of my businesses. It is a service based business that is run on a freelancer basis. I am now looking to sell it. Does anyone have experience with where such a business can be sold or which methods are suitable for this. Has anyone done this before?

I’ve seen many service businesses sold successfully on Flippa and MicroAcquire.
Having freelancers, contracts, and processes well documented usually makes the sale smoother.
Best of luck with the sale!

Facebook groups were in good form before pandemic but now activity on facebook slowed down. You should give it a try. Youngsters mostly migrated to Instagram and Tiktok, but facebook still has some middle-aged and old people. If it appeals to them, you might find some buyers.

Flippa, namepros are two places to sell. Namepros is a forum that trades in domains and websites specifically!

Ps, here's some advice.
You shouldn't give up on your business! :)

I completely agree with the suggestions to use Flippa and Namepros for selling, as they have a targeted audience looking for online businesses and websites. Has anyone had any experience with MicroAcquire, as hossen10 mentioned, and how does it compare to Flippa in terms of fees and buyer quality? Additionally, what are some key factors to focus on when documenting freelancers, contracts, and processes to make the sale smoother, as hossen10 advised?

I’m familiar with Flippa, but I haven’t looked too deeply into MicroAcquire yet. When you say you’ve seen service businesses sell well there, was that mostly smaller deals or more established businesses?

Also curious how active the buyer side felt compared to Flippa, if you noticed any big differences.

Like others say, I wouldn't use anything except flippa tbh

I mean it's already been said 20x in this post but use Flippa.

Common routes are business brokerage marketplaces, niche forums, or direct outreach to buyers already in the same industry.
Service businesses usually sell better when pitched to someone who understands the space.

Plenty of websites that sell them. Just keep in mind that if the company revolves around you doing all the work, you wont be able to sell it without being forced by contract to stay and work on it.
