Cheapest - yep; Easiest to use - yep; Most reliable - no way on earth!

If you're really concerned about your privacy and if you expect people to start digging then forget about all major registrars. I've successfully retrieved the contact details of three domain owners from NameCheap - all it takes is a nicely formatted letter signed by a lawyer and they'll release everything without a blink of an eye.
 
I recommend Internet.bs too. Its cheaper as well.
