Where to put my money?

Ok, so I'm sure many of you see this thread and think, "What a perfect fish to consume!" But please be aware that most of the methods I have undertaken are pretty much whitehat, and I sit on things for a loooooooong time before investing.

My question is, for a website that I have created for making money mainly with adsense, what type of services do you guys think are good for a newbie to invest in and why?

Honestly, I don't mind writing articles, albeit I am a bit slow at it, and I don't want to spend too much money before I have started making some income, so I am wondering what are good stepping stone services to build my website up.

Invest in building more web sites, until you get enough coin coming in to start buying existing, profitable web sites. Keep doing that, until you have enough coin to invest in profitable brick & mortar stores. Before you know it, you're buying hotels and luxury resorts.
