Where to point Tier 2 links to

Are you:

A.) Pointing your Tier 2 to your Tier 1 homepage (example.wordpress.com)

B.) Pointing your Tier 2 to your Tier 1 deep link - where the link to your money site is placed (example.wordpress.com/example-single-post)

C.) Pointing your Tier 2 to each of these above

The third option so you increase both domain and page authority.

You can do any of the above, as long as your link is on the page you will get the link juice.

I use option B tho.

I would preferably do both, but I would point more links toward B if my goal was to increase traffic to one specific article and not across the site. Think of this way, if you wrote a popular article, is your article more likely to get linked to using the article's URL or your homepage's URL?

completely agree with what zwielicht said above, by doing both can pass good link juice to Tier 1
